In the 20th century the development of printing and design technology enabled the Japanese tobacco industry to create stylish posters.

These posters where shot in a temporary exhibition called "The art of street corner reflects the times - Japanese Tobacco posters 1901-2000" in Tokyo's Tobacco & Salt Museum.
