The Oya Stone Mine

With 2 million square meters, the former Oya Stone mine could host several baseball fields in its incredible underground cavern. In WWII, the mine became a hidden plane factory, while at present it turned into an art and event space.

Hemp Fields in Tochigi, Japan

Only a selected few farmers are allowed to grow Hemp for research, to produce traditional ropes, paper and the Emperor's clothes.
Taiwan's abandoned UFO Resort

Less then one hour north of Taipei, Taiwan in the rural township Sanjhih lies an abandoned resort of UFO shaped buildings.

Once the most dense populated space on earth, Gunkanjima, the former coal mine closed permanently in 1974 and became a ghost island battered by typhoons, earthquakes and the sea.
